As we approach the commencement of the 10th cohort of the Dubai Business Associates Programme, it's time to reflect on the journey that has led us to this significant milestone.

Today, we celebrate the extraordinary contributions of a man we all know, respect, and cherish: James Maughan, the Founding Director of the DBA Programme, who has been instrumental in the program's success since its inception in 2014.

James has been more than just a leader; he has been the heart and soul of DBA, guiding the program with unwavering dedication and a passion for developing future leaders.

His influence has touched over 240 young professionals from 44 different nationalities, helping to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. Under his leadership, the DBA has grown into an award-winning graduate management training programme, recognized globally for its impact.

With a career that spans over three decades, James has excelled in various fields, including education, business development, and strategic management. His work with leading organizations such as GE and UBS, combined with his deep connections across Europe, the Middle East, and China, has been vital in building the DBA into what it is today.

James' commitment to fostering the careers of young professionals extends beyond the DBA. His involvement in alumni committees, including leadership roles with Oxford and Cambridge & INSEAD, and his founding of the UAE Oxbridge Entrepreneurship Club, showcase his dedication to developing future leaders. His influence has not only shaped the careers of those who have gone through the DBA but also enriched the broader professional community.

As James prepares to embark on his next chapter with the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives, we extend our deepest gratitude for his incredible contributions. His leadership has launched the careers of countless alumni, and his legacy will continue to inspire future cohorts of DBA associates.

James has often described his journey with the DBA as "epic," and indeed, it has been. His dedication has been a beacon of excellence, and his influence will continue to be felt throughout the DBA community.
