June '23 DBAAA Newsletter
We welcome new alumni and celebrate new beginnings
Greetings DBA Alumni and friends!
Welcome to the June edition of the Dubai Business Associates Alumni Association Newsletter.
Here, we celebrate the achievements of our members and share updates about our vibrant community.
Welcoming New Alumni to our Ranks

It is with great pleasure that the DBA Alumni Association welcomes 33 new alumni to our ranks following their successful completion of the Dubai Business Associates Programme.
These exceptional men and women from 17 countries comprised the Year 8 cohort and join the ranks of 209 prior graduates. We look forward to seeing what each of them achieves and wish them the best of luck in their next endeavors.

DBA Alumni Rising in Their Professional Careers
The DBA program prides itself on delivering a transformative experience for outstanding global graduates, preparing them to become future business leaders. Today, we share the success stories of two of our alumni.
Since graduating, Faline (Xiaoyu) Huang, DBA Year 1 Alumni, has had an impressive career journey. After landing her first job with Emirates, she became assistant finance manager at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, eventually becoming the CFO with Allsopp & Allsopp Group.
We also spotlight Hiba Saif Altamimi, a DBA Alumni who serves as Project Manager at dnata Travel Group. Hiba reflects on how the DBA Programme played a major role in her professional development, teaching her vital hard skills and the importance of professional and academic diversity.
Celebrating Associate Achievements
Congratulations to our associate, Yuchen, who has recently been accepted to pursue their PhD. We're excited to see where this next chapter in their academic journey takes them.
Launch of the DBA Alumni Association
The Dubai Business Associates recently hosted a gala dinner to commemorate the launch of the DBA Alumni Association.
The event, held at the Habtoor Palace in Dubai, was attended by current associates, alumni, and honorary guest Isobel Abulhoul, Founder, Advisor and Trustee, Emirates Literature Foundation.
DBA Programme Director, James Maughan, delivered a keynote presentation on the ‘Road to 200’, a visual storytelling of the DBA’s journey throughout the past eight years in recognition of the Programme’s more than 200 alumni.
